Upon walking through the Puerta de Jerez, we almost immediately found Chilimoso… a vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free restaurant found to the right of the gate. After weeks of wading through Spanish menus, mysterious tapas and “does it, doesn’t it” conversations in many different languages, this was a great find.
With the food and atmosphere, I felt like I was further East than Spain… perhaps India, Lebanon, or Greece. Food options include falafel, hummus, Greek salad, quiche, samosas, green curry, and bajees.
The restaurant is small but the food is fantastic; and, even with limited space, the owner still managed to fit in a cute little room with cushions and a table for relaxing. That said, take-out is probably the better option given the limited amount of space.
