The views are iconic and the stories that people tell of these trails, canyons, rivers, glaciers and peaks are the stuff of legend. It is breathtaking quintessential Canada and it runs along a historic train route that was forged over a century ago.
The train journey between Vancouver and Whistler takes you to places that you’d not normally get to see in a car (though the Sea-to-Sky Highway gets you pretty close). The beauty starts with Horseshoe Bay (one of the most expensive places to live in Canada), takes you by Shannon Falls, through Squamish (an outdoor adventurer’s dream), by Brackendale Provincial Park and Cheakamus Lake, then Brandywine Falls, and finally into Whistler.
I could write all day about how beautiful the journey is, but the photos below really do a better job.
