This week was without any real break from commuting as I drove 60 miles through California, got onto a plane to Denver (second time in a week), took a bus up a mountain to get to Keystone Resort, attended meetings and networking events, took a bus back down the mountain, and flew back to California.
And, I’m exhausted, not only because of the travel but because of the mountain thing. Keystone is 9,280 feet above sea level, which puts a large number of people at risk for altitude sickness when they visit.
You’d think that this wouldn’t be an issue for me because I live in Calgary (3556 ft above sea level). But apparently it is an issue, and one of the signs of acute altitude sickness is extreme exhaustion… combined with an inability to sleep, breathlessness, headaches, and nausea.
There’ll be more about Keystone… probably mixed in with posts about Ireland. But for now, I’m going to sleep.
