{"id":2557,"date":"2009-06-22T03:19:29","date_gmt":"2009-06-22T09:19:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wp.wend.ca\/?p=2557"},"modified":"2020-06-19T21:47:22","modified_gmt":"2020-06-20T01:47:22","slug":"through-the-window-of-a-bus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wend.ca\/?p=2557","title":{"rendered":"Through the Window of a Bus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There are a fair number of military photos of Afghanistan and Iraq shot through the window of a Humvee (example <a href=\"https:\/\/www.al.com\/afghanistan\/2008\/01\/through_a_humvee_window.html\">1<\/a> and 2 [link removed]). So, many that I couldn&#8217;t find the original that inspired me for this post. I know that a lot of these photos are taken from inside because it&#8217;s safer, but I found the analogy striking: a window into a different life and a different world&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Here in India I often forget to take photos of the insanity and chaos because I&#8217;m a part of it every day. But when inside a vehicle it really stands out. <\/p>\n<p>These photos are taken through the front window of a bus &#8212; on our way to Mascal.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-2557
