I’m a sucker for photos of boats — particularly fishing ones; and, it was a real pleasure to watch and photograph the people of Canoa Quebrada as the prepared their jangada’s for the day.<\/p>\n

I’m told that the reefs in this particular area are positively teeming with life. And fishing excursions rarely come back empty handed.<\/p>\n

It was also a real treat to get to watch village boys work together to bring in their own tiny fishing vessel. <\/p>\n

There was one really sweet moment when, as four boys carried the boat, the littlest one walked behind and sang a song that had a strong marching beat. And, when he was done singing for the other boys he continued to whistle.<\/p>\n
