This was a bummer until I discovered that one of my favourite statues is in the main hall: Maternal Affection by Edward Hodges Baily.<\/p>\n<p>The statue is white marble and depicts a loving scene between mother and child. I believe there are a few versions of this statue in other museums. I noticed that this particular version as a ring on the mother&#8217;s finger whereas others do not. <\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-39260 gallery-columns-3
