Before heading off to the beach we went to see the Heart of the Valley Parade in Middleton — to see what the town had to offer and also to bake in the sun.<\/p>\n

Like I mentioned earlier it was hot and La Ni\u00f1a<\/em> doesn’t do well in the heat. We stayed for the parade, the firefighter demonstration and part of the dog training demonstration. We left before the end of the demonstration lest anyone get a perforated ear drum from La Ni\u00f1a’s<\/em> screaming.<\/p>\n

Below is the Middleton Town Crier and his accomplice. I can only marvel at how much terrible hot misery this poor lady must have been in. Beyond sporting gloves, petticoats, a full dress, a hat, boots and a blouse, she was also wearing a wig!<\/p>\n

The border collie puppy is named Duncan. He came over to say hello to La Ni\u00f1a<\/em> when he should have been doing his training exercises. I swear she is a dog whisperer.<\/p>\n
