This restaurant came with mixed reviews on Yelp; seems people either love it or hate it. I found it while looking for sushi and decided to give it a try. It’s listed as a Thai restaurant, but I discovered that it’s more of a fusion Malaysian restaurant with a few other Asian dishes mixed in.
The thing I really like about TA.RA is that it’s unpretentious, it’s not super busy… and the food comes out super fast.
I’d barely given the menu away when my drink arrived at the table (chilled baby coconut in the husk), followed quickly by the food (the Tsunami Shrimp). All were delicious and the servers were full of smiles and not the attitude (like Osha down the street).
It’s not advertised, but their Happy Hour runs from 3-6 and is popular. Drinks and select hors d’oeuvres are half price.
