I bike through Montgomery when I bike commute into Calgary. We also looked at buying a house in this area, so it is very dear to my heart. There’s a fair bit of construction going on and it looks like there’s going to be a lot of clean-up after the waters recede. This one particular site was keeping water shallow on the street.
The seniors home on the river was still being evacuated a day after the evacuation notice. It was difficult for rescue crews to get to the building and get them out because it was surrounded by water.
