Tom Cruise may have frequented Cioppinos Mediterranean Grill, but Arnold Schwarzenegger was a patron at Honjin Sushi, which is a bit of a surprise given the restaurant is rather unassuming and off the beaten path.
The sushi here is exactly what you’d expect to find in a coastal sushi restaurant: fresh, well prepared, with no surprises. It’s perfect for a quick lunch or bite on the way back to the hotel. Two of the more interesting dishes are the Honjin Roll and Yaletown Roll. The shrimp salad is a nice switch from the typical salad that comes with sushi.
For people who need gluten-free: they carry wheat-free tamari soy sauce and are happy to tell you which dishes contain gluten, and which do not.
Sorry but I’m just wondering what those bubbly, tiny grape like thingys are.
Fish roe. I’m not sure what kind.
