Ellen DeGeneres hid a camera in the Starbucks across the street, and used prank footage for her show; Stan Lee frequents Tomo Sushi one block away. Clint Eastwood has a permanent office in one of the buildings where I work, and Universal and Warner Bros studios make legendary jabs at each other from across town. There’s bits and pieces of movie history in every name, building, nook and cranny; and I’m in a constant state of hmmm that person looks familiar.
This is Burbank California and it’s affectionately known as the Media Capital of the World. Parts are like the Truman Show, parts are grungy and interesting, and other parts remind me of The Kingdom Of Far Far Away.
I haven’t had much time to explore… and only today I managed to find an interesting coffee shop.
