While the coffee seems to be lacking in Palo Alto, gluten-free, vegan, and organic food is not. It seems most restaurants have a gluten-free menu or have a completely gluten-free offering. At the very very least, they is a willingness to adapt the food to help those with allergies.
Lyfe Kitchen is a glutino paradise. Here you can eat food that you normally avoid without any worries. So far I’ve discovered their fish tacos, gluten-free hamburger, loaded salads, and breakfast menu. The restaurant is always busy but they seem to have figured out space and demand. During a very busy lunch (line up out the door), you’ll have your food in less than 15-minutes.
The restaurant also seems to be popular with the who’s who crowd. I see a lot of familiar faces that I can’t really place… people with bodyguards and an entourage of black SUVs. Bill Clinton showed up one day with no less than 4 SUVs and a full contingent of men with CIA style earpieces.
Good food for sure.
