Aliens, ninjas, kids playing in the snow, zombies, social messages, advertising — all can be found plastered on the walls of the Krog Street Tunnel. It’s not difficult to find the tunnel and can be a quick stop on your way to Cabbagetown or Little Five Points. It’s best to experience the tunnel on foot — there’s even a weekly run that takes you through the tunnel.
It’s a popular destination for photographers, and during my walk through the tunnel there was a photoshoot with a dancer. He twisted and turned, pirouetted and stretched as photographers tried to catch him on a backdrop of art.
The artwork changes from week to week, so chances are it’s already different from when I visited. Below is a snapshot in time from my wander through the tunnel.
I drive through this tunnel everyday to take my daughter to pre-school on my way to work. She loves looking at the graffiti art. Hope that you’re enjoying your time in Atlanta!
