Madame Tussauds (Las Vegas)

Tucked away off to the side of the Venetian Hotel… in a rather obscure location, is the Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas. Considering most of the Tussauds that I’ve seen stick out like a sore thumb, it was a bit surprising this one seemed so muted. Or perhaps everything around it was just that much louder.

Trying to find a history on this particular museum is like finding a needle in a haystack. It’s a fairly recent edition to the Las Vegas strip. The building (with the Venetian) stands on the site of the original Sands Hotel… made famous by the Rat Pack.

Of the Tussauds in North America, this is number three of four on the visit list. The one remaining: Washington D.C.

  1. I have always avoided Madame Tussauds in the past but your pic of Fat Elvis is worth the price of admission 🙂 I bet Joan rivers has more wax and plastic in her than her mannequin.

  2. Should have mentioned this… but no one should ever pay full price to get into the Tussauds in Vegas. There are coupons in every book, ad and magazine that people push at you.
