Montreal’s Ribfest is listed as one of the top 15 best summer events in Montreal and Toronto. What I didn’t realize is that it held every year near our house! This means: we can walk there! It’s the small things in life that make me geek out.
Ribfest is a big deal on the West Island; it’s attended by award-winning rib vendors from both Canada and the US. So, people will wait for hours to sample some of the best meat the festival has to offer. And, all proceeds from the event go to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Island.
We were there. The weather was rather terrible for the first two days, but on Sunday the clouds dissipated, the sun came out, and people from all over Montreal came to Pierrefonds.
As an added bonus, we met the guys and gals from Beta Bloc, a new bouldering facility opening on the West Island in December. We’re very excited about this!
I’m using a modified Canon Rebel XT with a fixed 50mm lens. I’ll be blogging for a week (as part of the daily blog challenge) with this camera.
