We had the pleasure of experiencing Caffé Vergnano… twice.
The first experience came with our desire for really good coffee… and to feel like we were truly in Europe. The second experience was to appease our need for the really good food that we experienced during the first visit.
Caffe Vergnano is known for it’s coffee — more specifically, espresso based drinks. I’m told that the secret is in the massive Elektra espresso machine, which stands out like a giant shiny robot. The machine is handmade in Italy and can turn out one hell of an espresso.
The coffee of choice was caffè correttos served with grappa, not something typically found in North American coffee shops.
